Voice Studio
Molly has taught voice lessons for over twenty years to students ages 7-adult. She is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), has a master’s degree in vocal performance and a master’s degree in music education. In addition to teaching in her private studio, she has taught voice lessons at high schools, colleges, and music academies in Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana including, Indiana University Ft. Wayne's Community Arts Academy, Michigan Music Academy, and at the University of Toledo where she taught class voice and private lessons to undergraduate students as part of her graduate assistantship. Molly is honored to be recipient of the MENC STAR award for private voice teachers.
Molly did her undergraduate work in her hometown of Fort Wayne, Indiana where she earned her bachelor’s degree in vocal performance from Indiana University and studied with Dr. Sam Savage. Over the next few years she went on to earn both of her graduate degrees at the University of Toledo where she studied with Dr. Denise Bernardini (voice), Dr. Pamela Stover (music education), Dr. Timothy Brakel (music education), and Dr. Brad Pierson (choral conducting).

Molly has worked with Detroit Opera from 2015-2018 serving as a voice teacher, vocal coach, music director, and director for their long-running summer opera program. Subsequently she was chosen to teach select high school students in the RAMP-UP mentorship program- a collaboration between Detroit Opera and the Detroit School of the Arts. She has been a judge for NATS and MENC vocal competitions, a high school and college masterclass instructor, a vocal coach at the famous Macomb Center for the Performing Arts and this past year had the pleasure of presenting at the Music Conference Alberta. Molly is a credentialed pre-k-12th-grade music educator in two states. She has taught general music, choir, music theory, and theater. She has designed curriculum for the general student population as well as specialized classes for children with with disabilities.
While teaching in Michigan she had the pleasure of creating and directing a performing arts camp where performers ages 7-14 learned about singing, acting, movement on stage, set and costume design, audition practices, and improvisation. The camp culminated in a delightful and eclectic student-produced production. Upon moving to California in 2018 Molly taught in Irvine Unified School District as a 4-6th-grade vocal specialist before opening her private voice studio in 2019.
